Your vote counts
As a member you are entitled to vote for the people you think will best represent you, and your society’s interests on the Board, Members' Council and Membership Committee determining how the Society is governed.
When does voting take place?
Each year prior to the AGM, candidate statements for those seeking election to;
• The Board of Directors
• The Membership Committee
• The Members' Council
are made available to postal voters and at Customer Services in Department Stores in Chelmsford and Braintree.
Am I eligible to vote?
To be eligible to vote Members must have been a member for at least six months prior to the date of the Annual General Meeting.
When can I vote?
You may vote at any point during the two weeks leading up to the Annual General Meeting and at the meeting itself.
Where can I vote?
You can cast your votes for one or all of the above committee elections at either of our Customer Services departments during trading hours, or at the Annual General Meeting itself.
I can't get to Customer Services or the AGM but still want my vote to count
You may cast your vote by registering for Postal Voting. Registration is simple, takes seconds, and is free of charge.
