The past year has not been without its challenges, primarily because economic conditions have not been favourable for retailers.
The Society ‘s focus is to continuously improve our Co-operative and to this end major investment has been made in new Food shops, improved facilities in our ‘quadrants’ and new vehicles in our Funeral business. Our financial results have again improved and trading profit has reached a new record, and what is pleasing is that all our businesses have contributed.
There is no doubt that the coming year will again be very demanding and the Society’s Business Plan and financial strategies recognise this. Members can be assured that we will be doing everything possible to build on our progress of recent years.
