Christmas Comes Early for RSPCA Danaher Animal Home

The cats, dogs and small animals at RSPCA Danaher Animal Home are in for a treat this Christmas, as our members and colleagues generously donated a range of food, toys and treats to the local animal charity.

Senior Animal Care Assistant, Jack Taylor, brought 5 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Shadow, along to our Braintree Quadrant store today to collect the goodies and to meet some of the members who had donated.

John Kirkman, Danaher Animal Home's General Manager, said 'We are always delighted to be involved with local community groups and it is very kind of Chelmsford Star Co-op to think of our animals at Christmas time. We know Shadow made a big impression, and along with his kennel friends, he has a lot of love to give. We hope he finds his best present of all - a new home and a family to love'.

We also support RSPCA Danaher Animal Home through our Community Card fundraising scheme, and it is hoped that we can arrange a members visit to the home in the new year.

If you didn't manage to support Danaher Animal Home through our collection, they are holding a 'Toys 'n' Treats' event at the home on Sunday 9th December, from 11am - 3pm. For more information, please visit their website here.
