The 14th annual Fun Week was held at the Scout Hut in Langton Avenue in Melbourne, run by the community of sisters living in Anderson avenue.
The week was very much appreciated by local families whose children enjoyed a rich variety of activities through the week – from cookery to craft – sport – drama – music – dance.
The hut throbbed to the sounds of laughter and fun for a whole week as the children were held enthralled by a strong group of young helpers who animated the week.
The finale was a family fun day on Saturday where Dale Superville, an actor with huge local pantomime experience, gave out the prizes and certificates.
The event was greatly helped by the donations from Chelmsford City Council and our 'The Co-operative Food' store in Kings Road, who donated bottles of water and juice, plus ice cream was donated by Rossi Ice Cream.
Georgina Leather, Membership Co-ordinator at Chelmsford Star Co-op commented: "We are delighted to support these types of community events, which benefit local people, they really are the essence of us being at the heart of the local community".
