First Clean Up of 2019 announced!

Chelmsford Star Co-op first took part in the 'Big Co-op Clean Up' in 2015 to support and celebrate Co-op Fortnight. Since then, Co-op Clean Up's have been an annual event for us.

Last year we started working in partnership with primary schools in Essex, encouraging school children to take pride in and look after the environment. The children loved getting out of the classroom and helping us to collect bag fulls of litter from their local community. We are once again looking for primary schools who would like to work together in 2019, so please email if you'd like some more information. We are also keen to carry out a beach clean this year, supporting the Marine Conservation Society through their 'Great British Beach Clean' campaign.

Our first Co-op Clean Up has been announced, and will take place in Central Park (Chelmsford) on Friday 9th August. We're working in partnership with 'Love Your Chelmsford', part of Chelmsford City Council. This will begin at 12.30pm from the Co-op gazebo in Bell Meadow. All equipment will be provided for volunteers. Groups are welcome to attend.

Please phone 0800 2540404 or email to register your interest for the Clean Up.
