The quadrant department store in George Yard is due to extend its trading hours to include Sundays from 10.30am to 4.30pm from Sunday 3rd April 2016.
The store is one of two that is part of the Chelmsford Star Co-operative Society with the other being in Chelmsford which already trades on Sunday.
The Braintree quadrant is located in the George Yard shopping centre and is serviced by the council owned multi storey car park which costs just 10p to park in on Sunday.
Store Manager Gino Muscat commented;
“We have held back in the past on opening Sundays because of primarily cost and footfall; however we now feel that as the majority of other stores are open in George Yard it’s time as the anchor store, for us to show support helping to bring more customers to the centre.”
The store operates across two floors and stocks everything for the home under one roof including furniture, beds, flooring, linens, cook shop, nursery, travel, toys, accessories footwear and fashion. The fashion department is renowned for its eclectic mix of top high street brands including TopShop, Miss Selfridge, Wallis and many more.
The stores award winning restaurant Brambles, will be offering for a limited period, a delicious home cooked Sunday roast with all the trimmings for just £5.99 per person.
