On Friday 14th April we teamed up with Essex Libraries to host an evening for 9 to 13 year olds to ‘Rediscover Reading’ in a quiet, safe space, within our Quadrant Department Store after the store had closed for the day.

Crafts, creative writing, quizzes, refreshments and books proved to be the perfect ingredients for a great evening.

We received very positive feedback from parents and children alike and we’ll look to host more of these types of events in the future.

Thank you to our local supplier, Shaken Udder for generously donating milkshakes to those attending, they were gratefully appreciated. These milkshakes are available to purchase in our Co-op food stores.
