Last week, Chelmsford Star Co-operative completed the formation of the Executive Management team, which will lead the Society into a new era.
The Society has made two new appointments to fill a skills gap in the management team and to replace the Head of Membership, following the appointment of Keith Grinsted, the previous Member Relations Officer, as Head of Specialist Retail.
Following the recruitment process, which included internal and external candidates, Kevin Bennett has been appointed as Head of Membership. Kevin, who has worked for the Society for six years in the Marketing department, will officially take up his new position in the coming weeks.
Commenting on Kevin’s appointment, Society Secretary, Ellen Tredwin said; “The quality of the candidates for the post was extremely high and Kevin’s knowledge of the Co-operative movement and Chelmsford Star is valuable, and will help shape the Society’s membership proposition for the future”.
Also recently appointed is Paul Hampshire who takes the role of Head of Estates. Paul previously worked for local company, Taylor & Co as a building surveyor and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in a specialist area to the Society’s management team.
Commenting on the appointments, Chief Executive Officer, Barry Wood said; “I am pleased to welcome both Kevin and Paul to the management team and look forward to working with them to continue the success of Chelmsford Star”.
