A Co-operative Partnership Helps Protect the Hearts of Ingatestone and Blackmore

Local mason branches in Ingatestone and Blackmore have joined forces with Chelmsford Star Co-operative Society and the East of England Ambulance Service to install external defibrillators in both Ingatestone and Blackmore.

A defibrillator is a life saving device, which can restore a normal heartbeat to a victim after a cardiac arrest. The electrical pulse it emits to the heart restores it to a regular heartbeat, and allows the heart to return to pumping blood around the body.
