The world’s political leaders are currently getting together in Glasgow to discuss climate change at COP26.
That’s why the Co-op Group are hosting Co-op26, the climate event for everyone.
We’ve partnered with the global movement, Count Us In, so together we can do our bit to fight climate change. Below are three actions that can make a big difference and we’re asking you to pledge to take climate action and share it with friends.
Tell your politicians
Speak or write to your local MP so they understand your concern about climate change and how they can be part of the solution. The Co-op Group have drafted this letter to make it easy.
Eat more plants
Eating more plant-based food is one way to address climate change and also great for your health. Check out our recipe
Cut food waste
Reduce greenhouse gas emissions by only buying what you need and using up the food you have at home.
An even bigger difference…
Count Us In has more possible steps we can all take to tackle climate change as a community.

MAKING CHANGES THAT MATTER
These 16 steps are the most effective way to reduce your carbon pollution and persuade others to do the same.
It’s easy to feel overwhelmed. To not know where to begin – or what changes really make a difference.
These 16 Steps have been selected with experts from the UN Environment Programme based on 3 criteria: their impact on your personal carbon pollution, their power to influence leaders and their ability to involve everyone.
You don’t need to research what works and what doesn’t. These are the 16 steps that count. Read more here.
