Job description:

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Hours: 16 hours per week

• Management Accountant
• Finance Team

Overall Job Purpose

Accounts: To work with the Management Accountant and finance team on posting entries to the accounting system, performing reconciliations, posting invoices and other data, opening post and liaising with relevant colleagues and external contacts, and reporting as required.

Principal Responsibilities

To complete accounting tasks as requested by the Management Accountant and finance team, including regular and ad hoc tasks including:

1. Preparing, posting, and filing invoices
2. Dealing with payments to creditors
3. Opening and distributing post
4. Dealing with cheques and posting to the accounting system
5. Posting entries onto the accounting system
6. Performing reconciliations and correcting if necessary
7. Accessing and preparing reports from the EPOS system and in Excel

Key Performance Indicators

1. Compliance with policy and procedures
2. Achievement of projects/tasks to agreed criteria
3. Accuracy and timeliness of accounting entries and reconciliations
4. Accuracy and timeliness of accounting reports

Experience Required 

One year of finance/administration experience is preferred.
